For those who don’t know, MAP stands for Minor Attracted Person, more commonly known as a pedophile. It’s honestly reprehensible that they’d take advantage of pride by making a flag like this. It’s incrediblly dangerous because unifying symbols such as this create a platform for pedophiles to prey on children, and spread pedophilia-enabling rhetoric. So this is a problem. For those that don’t know, this November MA is putting a question up on whether the transgender nondiscrimination law that was passed in 2016 should be repealed.
If this law gets repealed, transgender residents will face discrimination in public places and will have to by law use the restroom based on their assigned sex at birth, not what they identify as.
For those in other states who might be thinking “Oh, this won’t affect me at all!”
It will.
If this law gets repealed, the opponents (the people who approve of the repeal) will try to eliminate transgender protection laws across the United States.
Keep in mind, this article was at the back of the Pride magazine I picked up at a movie theater. Not many people I’ve talked to seem to know that this is going to happen.

On June, 20th the JURI of European Parliament approved of the articles 11 and 13 of the new Copyright Law. These articles are also known as the “Link Tax” and the “Censorship Machines” articles.
Articles 13 in particular forces every internet platform to filter all the contents we upload online, ending once and for all the fandom culture. Which means you won’t be able to upload any type of fandom works like fan arts, fan fictions, gif sets from your favourite films and series, edits, because it’s all copyrighted material. And you won’t also be able to share, enjoy or download other’s contents, because the use of links will be completely restricted.
But not everything’s lost yet. There’s another round of voting scheduled for the early days of July.
What you can do now to save our internet, is to share these informations with all of your family members and friends, and to ask to your MEP (the members of the European Parliament from your country) to vote NO at the next round, to vote against articles 11 and 13.

Hi! Just as a warning, if any of you all plan to see Deadpool, there are some pretty heavy suicide themes to the film. They are NOT treated as a joke in any manner, in fact it’s taken (for a Deadpool film) quite seriously, but I wanted to warn you all in advance that there is a scene in which a character attempts suicide and makes references throughout the film about wanting to die. I do think the movie is very much worth seeing, but I wanted to share because this matter is quite upsetting and triggering to many and I thought a warning was in order.

Conversion therapy describes attempts to “cure” lgbt+ people and turn us straight/cis. Those “cures” do not work but cause a lot of pain - they are traumatizing, increase the risk of mental health problems and can even lead to suicide.

The 8th amendment in Irish constitutional law means women have no access to abortion services. In any situation. Not if you’ve been raped. Not if you’re 12 years old. Not if very far along, you discover your baby has no chance of life after you give birth.

I just scrolled through the ace discourse tag for thirty minutes and I’m so tired. Just… just let me spell it out here.
If you are attracted sexually and romantically to women if you are a man, and men if you are a woman, you are straight. If you identify with the gender you were assigned at birth, you are cis.
If any of these things don’t apply to you, you are LGBTQ+. Period.
Asexual people are not sexually attracted to anyone. Aromantic people are not romantically attracted to anyone. Therefore, even if an aromantic person identifies as heterosexual and an asexual person identifies as heteroromantic, they are still not straight and are part of the community. End of story.
And it’s not some pissing contest about who is more oppressed. Different parts of the community face different types of discrimination and oppression. LGBTQ+ people band together because we are different from society’s norm. Why the fuck are we squabbling among ourselves about who’s different now?
